Default HIDs

How do I put HIDs on my truck? Does it take a special wiring harness to hook up? Right now it has the factory sealed beam h6054 headlights with the 3 prongs on the back. I know i needa get a sealed beam conversion kit first that'll take a h4 style bulb but idk how it'll hook up to the existing wiring...

Old thread yes.. but still

The conversion kit should come with the 3 prong to H4 adapter, then you just buy an HID kit for an H4 setup. Depending on the kit you may have to attach the supplied 12v+ & ground wire directly to the battery as well, and thats it.

and if you want to do it properly put the hid bulb in the proper lens assembly. hid bulbs should never go into the stock lens regardless of what anyone says. Its illegal is numerous countries....USA and Canada are slow to regulate this. Even properly aimed, hid bulbs in stock lenses blind other drivers.
There is a reason why oem manufacturers put hid in a different lens.
go the retrofitsource and do it right.
