Default Something Killing my fuel pump

Hey everybody,

Having an issue with my 90' K-5. something is killing the fuel pump. Had it fixed....week later....fuel pump not working.....Had it tested, Bad fuel pump. So we put it another one, lasted about 6 months....Turned the key......did not hear fuel pump cutting on....Truck won't crank. If I replace fuel pump again....works for a little while then nothing. Any help or direction would be great.....What would cause fuel pumps to keep failing???

Thanks in advance

Had this issue in a 96 Burb, everyone that died quick was aftermarket brands, spent the money on an AC Delco pump and the problem went away.

The fuel in the tank also cools the pump. It is possible running the tank low will cause it to overheat, also cheap after market pumps don't last.
