So I have a 85 Silverado with a 350 SB and i recently got a new starter and new belts, re-built transmission new radiator and thermostat.
I tried to turn it over and the starter engages with force and i can hear it hit the fly wheel although it will not start up i also can smell an abundance of gasoline coming out of the tail pipes. do you guys think that the distibutor is missing a plug or that the spark plugs arent sparking? if anyone has some insight or any ideas that would help so much. I have some auto mechanics trainning although not sufficent enough to diagnose the problem aslo low amount of funds due to Army Check. If anyone can help me I would appreciate it alot

 

Are you saying the solenoid engages but the motor does not turn over at all?

 

Does it turn the motor over at all?
