Default ‘13 Malibu LT disappearing coolant
After 10,000 miles or so the coolant level drops, there’s no leak, where is it going?

Oil, head-gasket/ exhaust.Try some AlumiSeal. It hasn't been around forever for nothing. get that motor HOT, pour the AS in and drive it for 10 miles. Could be the heater core as well, so turn the heater on HIGH as well.

Default Water pump, small leak, it’s fixed...
hard to believe it fails after only 47k

Yeah thats very poor performace for a water pump. Could have been a defective one that you were unlucky to have on your Malibu.
