Thanks for the advice MDTahoe, I contacted the Chevy dealer and they explained to me that when the installed the BCM, they did not see any codes that came up for the theft deterrent system and the service adviser suggested that the problem is a bad door jam switch. Is this as simple as it sounds? Thanks for all you help.

 

Thanks MDTahoe, the dealer told me that when they programmed the BCM they did not see any other codes that popped up and the problem is not with the passlock system. The service adviser believes that the problem may be stemming from a bad door jam switch. I looked around the doors and the only thing that I can think of that may be a door jam switch is a round black rubbery piece that looks about the size of a nickle. I am guessing it works like a priox switch.is that correct and if so how do I determine if it is bad or not. Thanks again for all of your help.
