Default 06 Malibu MAxx Fender/Bumper Cover Replacement

So someone slow swipes the driver side front fender and deforms the front left corner bumper cover. For the past 30 years I've done 90% of any repair work to my car. I've taken houses apart and put them back together ... so I have the tools.

some qts:

** Replacing driver side front fender -
1. Do I have to take the door off to remove fender bolts from the door jam?
2. Is the fender welded onto the body at all, is it just a matter of locating all the bolts?
3. any step by step instructions , Web links, etc. you can point me to?

*** Replacing bumper cover ... anything crazy difficult about this?

I'm hoping someone who has done this before would please read this and respond.

Thanks in advance, and much appreciated.

Will

1. No, I removed one myself in MAXX 05, just open door to gain access to screw and bolts.
2. No just bunch of bolts all around.
3.I did it without any instructions, pop-off all plastic fasteners, remove wheel well liner, remove passenger headlight, unscrew all bolts.. remove fender, was easy for me.

Talking Thanks Ektar!

Ended up I did not replace the cover. Read somewhere about using a heat gun to soften the plastic a bit and pushing from the back of the cover to pop out the dent. Tried that and it worked. Yea, the fender has scratches, paint rubbed off, but decided to save the couple hundred bucks for a new one and keep the insurance money for a new Canon L lens ... The Canon 5d Mkiii body is sweet!
Now it's off to replacing front CV joints, timing belt, plugs, gaskets, tensioner, water pump on my '04 VW 1.8T Passat .. great car, great engine, just routine replacements ... would cost me $3,000 from the dealer ... They ain't getting it!
