Default 07 Malibu Starter location

I need to test the starter on my 07 Malibu. Can anyone guide me as to where it is located?

Under the car, about center of the motor, right where the engine bolts to the transmission

nice pic. the starter is easy to replace. make sure you remember what wire goes on what post. it's rather simple. there is a red wire and black (battery harness and alternator harness) those go on the same pose. The post that has the weave already on it, leave it alone. then there is a smaller post. that is the ignition wire. The other 2 will not fit on that one so its not an issue. There is a small plastic piece on the trans that blocks your capability of getting to another bolt. It looked like it was a pain to remove. It doesn't really do much but block a small part of the flywheel. I just broke mine off. that is my suggestion. Normally I am not a fan of doing things like that, but whatever gets the job done. So its your choice. Disconnect the battery before changing the starter so you do not spike anything.

On the v6 3.1 you can see the starter from up top right between the rad fans and the engine. You will see the wires.
