Default 09 malibu, rear left lights out, warranty cover?

So its 1:20 on a Saturday. All the local Service Departments are closed. Therefore I cannot call and ask.

The left rear park lights, turn signal, and brake lights are all out. But the right rear and fronts are fine.

So I am suspecting a fuse or relay. Well all the fuses look good. Before trying to just replace relays in process of elimination, I was wondering if this would be covered under the 5 yr/100k mi warranty?

Thanks.

I believe the 5yr/100K is powertrain only, your problem would be covered under the bumper-to-bumper warranty. Sounds like to me the wiring for the light may be disconnected or broken. Try taking the light out and see if the plug is seated all the way on.

With a 2009 model year vehicle you have a 3 year 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty which covers everything between and including the bumpers. The 5 year 100,000 mile warranty is for the powertrain. This would cover all of the parts associated with the engine and its function. I hope that answers your warranty question. As for the actual problem itself I would suggest havin the vehicle looked at by your dealership for diagnosis. Under the warranty the fix would be free under normal circumstances. I hope this helps you.
