Hi everyone I just bought this car. But the transmission is weird because first the shifting is hard and when I accelerate it only goes to second gear does change gear after that. When I'm going 50 or 60 mph the rpm is at 4 or 5 . What can be the problem?

 

Welcome to the forum. You have either an electrical problem or mechanical problem that the previous owner couldn't resolve. Hope you didn't pay more than a few hundred.

 

I paid 400 . I feel it can be a good car this problem is wasting my gas ... and the check engine light is on.

 

In "limp mode" and CEL on... Chances are it's not something simple or cheap. If you're going to keep it, you'll have to get it fixed. Keep driving it like that and you may as well drive it to the junkyard and drop it off.
