Hi, I have been a reader of this forum since I bought my car last year. I know that there are many experts and Mechanics who frequent these boards.

I am a Mechanic, but not an auto Mechanic.

Can somebody please give me some basic instructions to replacing my Intake manifold gasket on my 3100sfi ? I need to know what I will need to buy and what all needs to be pulled to get at the sucker. And any Trade tips
I am told that this manifold gasket is a GM faulty one but they are unwilling to do a recall. Just like the "Theft System" faults... sorry just a little aggravated.

Any help would be appreciated! I have already checked with shops, they want about $30 parts and $570 labor.
