Default 2006 Malibu LT

I bought this car for its low profile, but now I would like to add some aftermarket parts to it but I cant seem to find anything made specific for the Malibu. If I bought an Impala cold air intake would that fit my Malibu? Is there any other performance parts out there as well for this car?

Although I'm not an expert by any means, I've not been able to find much in the way of aftermarket performance add ons, at this forum or anywhere on line. There are chip-up (?) options for the engine, but that's about it.

I would be interested in any info you come across.

A cold air intake for an Impala more than likely will not fit the Malibu. I'm pretty sure they use different engines or setups.

Let's see, when I had my Malibu and was looking, I saw lots of after market stiff rate springs for the struts, urethane bushings for just about anything, larger and firmer sway bars, some really nice aftermarket wheels and tires, strut tower braces (front and rear), if not cold air intake kits then a K&N replacement (mine works real good), cat back exhaust systems (with fart-can mufflers), performance struts (Koni), programs for tuning using your dad's laptop and much much more. Google is our friend. Did that help...I sure feel better.

Thanks for the help! If anyone does come across a cold air intake though, I would be very interested in the info.

Thanks again Gwampa

I have a 2004 malibu maxx LT and also am having a hard time finding aftermarket parts for perfromance and styling.

Though I did come across this cold air intake for the 3.5L engine which should fit yours also.

I know its ebay but I did see this same design at another site for over 100 dollars.

Let me know if you find anything else also!
