2007 Malibu LS Seat belt warning light
I have a 2007 Malibu LS, it has 15000 miles so far and I have not had any problems, but this morning on the way to work, the seat belt warning light and chime kept going off, I check the seat belt several times to be sure it was buckled but the warnings continued. On the way home I had no problems. Yesterday was very snowy here and it is possible that some melted snow may have got into the seat belt buckle where the wire is (probably for the sensor) Is it possible that would have caused the warning light and chime to activate? I hate to take it to the dealer since the problem only happened once and it is not presently doing it. Any suggestions will be appreciated. I really enjoy this forum.
