My 2011 Malibu had the check engine light appear this week and shortly after the car started to shift hard from 2nd to 3rd. Ran the codes and came back as my VVT solenoid, went ahead and replaced the solenoid, check engine light is off but the rough shifting is still persistent after the car has been running for about 20 minutes. it feels like it has no power as i accelerate and it delivers a hard thud on the shift from 2nd to 3rd. Also tried putting it into manual mode to see if it would do the same, shifting under 2500 is a much less noticeable thud, but anything above 2500 and its back to the normal thud that jerks the car. Looking to try and take it in by the end of the week, has anybody else experienced anything similar with their 08-12 malibu? Never good news with a transmission issue so just looking around to see if anybody had something similar happen.
