Default 2011 Malibu Trans. problems

Hey all, new to the sight. Just wondering if anyone is having the same trans. issues I am. I'm having flared shifting, harsh downshifts and it shakes when coming to a stop from approx. 50mph.....Thanks

I have searched my resources, but have been unable to find any known transmission issue on 2011 Malibu vehicles.

I encourage you to take the vehicle in for an inspection. A certified technician will be able to offer a more accurate diagnosis with a physical inspection.

If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact me.

This car has been at the dealership for better than 30 days total. I keep being informed that this is a normal condition. Im just trying to figure out all the repair attempts if this is a normal condition

I apologize for the continued frustration. If you would like, I can set up a case for you regarding this issue. Please PM me your full name, home address, phone number, vehicle mileage, vehicle VIN number and the name of your dealer.

After I document the information, I will forward it to a District Specialist who will contact you directly to consult with you further.

I look forward to your reply.

Default same issue for 2012

malibuman, I have a new 2012 malibu, same issue, more noticable at the 5000 mile mark, especially if a coast down to a turn and hit the gas, its like it has no idea what gear it should be in. I called my dealer and they said its a charactoristic of this tranny.

I have a 2008 Malibu with 55,000 miles, had the transmission replaced 30,000 miles ago due to shifting in and out of lockup at highway speed, now seems to be doing it again. So far, no satisfaction from dealer's service department; say they can't find anything wrong with it.

I was inquiring to see if you had a case regarding this issue. The dealer wasn't able to duplicate the problem? Does it only happen at highway speeds?
