I'm sorry to hear the transmission is still an issue. Have you set-up a case with Chevrolet Customer Service yet? If so, would you please PM the Service Request number so I can look into the case further? If not, I can set-up a case for you regarding this issue. Please PM me your full name, address, phone number, actual vehicle mileage, VIN number and the name and city of the dealer you are working with.

I look forward to your reply.

Default trany update

Louis, I have to say my dealer has been excellent in this and he called me today to let me know a brand new transmission is being shipped. The car now has 2917 miles on. They took it for a 6 mile drive after the rebuild and they said it was still broke. Trany was rebuilt at 2911.
I 'm not sure where on this forum is the link for a PM (Private mesage) but I will find it and contact you with the details. Thank for your help too.
My biggest concern is I need to make several long distance trips in July and early August. The plan was to use this car but I am starting to have my doubts about using this car since I really do not have the time to break down 1500 miles away from home

Thumbs down 2011 Transmission Issues.

I just bought a used 2011 Malibu with 15,000 miles and started having transmission issues (slippage) at around 16,000 miles. I changed the transmission fluid because it looked "gray" in color and the problem got worse with the new fresh fluid..

Any Ideas?

Ted

Louis,

I am going to my local dealer Watson Chevrolet in Blairsville, Pa. and will let you know what they say. They have treated me great so far.

I have been a Checy owner since 1973.
I am hoping they can fix this problem. I was going to buy a Camry or Sonata, but talked my wife into a chevy to "buy american" .

Thanks, Ted

Default Malibu Transmission Problems

I am going to my local dealer tomorrow (Watson Chevy in Blairsville, Pa) to see if they can fix the problem.

I have been a chevy owner since 1973, and decided to buy a Malibu instead of a Camry or Sonata because I wanted to buy American..

I am hopeful they can fix the problem. They have been good to me so far..

I have a 2010 Malibu and yes I have a problem with it shifting hard at a highway speed. The dealership is only driving it around town, so no, they are not gonna see what it is doing. I only had it 2 weeks and I'm ready to take it back to them. I'm scared to really get on the highway with it because it might put me down. Of the 2 weeks I've owned it, they have had it 7 days.

I have a 2011 Malibu LTZ with 2.4 L engine. Transmission shifts down and rpms redline, took car to dealership in Surprise, Az. Dealer can't find anything wrong, no error codes in computer. Recently transmission is ****ing into neutral after leaving stoplight, rpm redlines. Called Chevy Customer Service, Case number assigned, but without diagnostic error codes, dealer can't solve problem.
