2013 Malibu ECO 2.4L
I had problems with the vehicle not charging after stopping at a light. It is supposed to go to ECO mode when you stop, and when you take off again it restarts the engine. It does not, It's just kills the battery. If you take the vehicle out of gear at a stop light it does not malfunction. Took it to the dealer and after having it a week told me it was the ECO alternator/starter, to the tune of about $1800.00. After waiting 3 weeks for the part to come it, it did not even make it home when the same problem happen, but only worse. Now it will not charge at all. Back to the dealer and after another week was told that a battery controller (I think that is what it was called) was now need, for another $1600.00 dollars. and the part will be in, in about 3-4 weeks, they are telling me they should of been replace together. Is this true? Or just covering poor diagnosis?
