hi! i am new and need some advice. sometimes,while i am driving my car will die! i own a 99' malibu sedan 6 cylinder. it only does this every so often and it seems it always happens when my 2 year old is in the car with me and of course i dont take the by-pass anywhere! one place told me it was the map sensor,so he replaced it and in the same week it cut off again,then one idiot told me it was out of gas ! i told him i just filled it up ! i love my car but not the cutting out part,any advice would be helpful!!!!

 

Could be a loose ground wire. They're everywhere. A computer can't think with a bad ground.
