Code U01B0
Hello guys,
I am new here, I have a 2016 Malibu LT 1.5T. I bought the vehicle last summer with around 7k miles on it. Maybe after a few weeks I had gotten the code from OBD readers of U01B0. My brother is a mechanic and even his high tech scanner just says the code when they normally say what it is. My car drives fine just the check engine is on always and when you go to clear the codes after your turn the car back on it is back. The start/stop does not work. ( I am okay wtih that as I have driven other cars with that feature)
Does anyone know what this code comes up from? My brother nor dad has never seen this before also.

Plug it into Google man.
the first result of a cursory web search says it's a communication problem with the PCM (engine computer). "U" codes are always data related.
Those are usually caused by loose/corroded/broken/chafed wires or connectors. Those are the worst to track down . You could be pulling out your hair for a long time. Or it's caused by problems with the electrical system, so make sure battery/alternator are in tip top shape. Sometimes its caused by water damage. Getting into computer modules or fuseboxes. And sometimes the computer modules just fail. Cracks in the board and whatnot.

Yeah, I have plugged it into google before and tried to search around not much that I could find for it. I have heard that that could be the case some loose connections somewhere or corroded somewhere. Its not a huge worry at the moment just annoying to have that light on all the time.
