so ive been looking at a 1978-81 Malibu, and i'd wasnt to put a custom exhaust on it which would include 2 Cherry Bomb Glasspack Mufflers. since im in California (SF area), would putting glasspacks on the car mess up emissions for smog?

 

It shouldn't affect your emissions as long as you don't bother your catalytic converter and secondary air injection.

 

thats why im hoping they get 80 and older for smog exemption VERY soon. then id put long tubes and glasspacks straight back.
