Hi there,
I have a 99 Malibu andI just noticed my 'service vehicle light' comming ON intermittently untillI discovered that it comes only during day or bright conditions. So this pointed me to check my Daytime running lights(DRL) and ....I was right....My DRL's wont turn ON and this makes the yellow light popon my dash. At night, the lights come ON automaticaly and therefore brain senses that as running lights and it doesnt trigger the error.

To cut the long story short...Can anyone please suggest me the probablities of DRL not working other than 1 fuse and small relay under hood?

You could check the switch for the park brake .

 

Thanks Golfer...but my park switch seems to work because my all lights come ON when I remove the park brake during dark. Any other point of problem?....

 

To all who are reading.......The problem is fixed...it was just a lose connection under the DRL relay and it started behaving as i just played with it. Thanks
