I am looking to get a second hand vehicle that is better on gas than my truck. Can anyone give me some feedback as to what a 2000 malibu gets. Here are the particulars. 3.1 V6 Automatic transmission. It has 98000 miles on it and has been babied so to speak.

I would expect around 25 mpg combined. I have a 2004 malibu 3.5 V6 and it gets around 27 mpg combined. According to some specs on the internet for your car, you should get around 22 City/30 Hwy. The same internet site says my car should get 23/32. Of course, it all depends on how you drive. Either way, it should be better mpg than a truck. Good luck and I hope that helps!
