help!
My chevy malibu 99 3.1L has a hard time starting...It will turn over a couple of times then it dies.If you hold the gas pedal down while you start it, it will start....no codes and runs good other than that...spark plugs and wires are new also....

Welcome to the forum...
poor idle at a stop could be caused by a dirty IAC or Idle Air Control valve....
Might try cleaning the throttle body and IAC.

I just had a bad sprk plug wire that caused idling misses. Seemed to run fine when moving down the road, but missed at idle.
Are those codes after the clog was cleaned out? And did you clear the codes and then get those posted or are they old ones?
