Default Help needed locating Mode Door Actuator

Thanks for having me in the forum! I have a 2006 Malibu Maxx LT 3.5L with 160,000km on it. I believe my mode door actuator has failed as my HVAC system will only direct itself through the defrost vents, despite still having control of air temp, and flow speed. Hoping someone can point me in the right direction in finding it, as it sounds to be fairly deep within the dash. Thanks in advance!

**Update** So I believe I have located it! (In behind the glove box on the left hand side?) Now I'm curious as to wether or not I can manually switch the settings myself?? Reason being, it's about -28°C right now and having only window defrost is leaving the feet in pain after only 15-20 mins of driving!! So hopefully I can get it to blow on the window and floor setting, which will be far better than window only!!!

Probably the control actuator the switching thing that controls the air/heat. The default setting is defrost on "newer" vehicles.
