Default Key FOB Problem

I changed the battery on my key FOB, but it still doesn't work. I noticed the clip that holds the battery became unsolded, so I resolded it. However, it doesn't do anything. Any ideas?

Contact your dealer to see if they have a keyless entry remote tester. That is what we use. It just reads the frequency and beeps if the remote is still sending a frequency. Perhaps its not the remote, but maybe it is. I know it sounds stupid, but are you sure you have the battery facing the right way.

Sometimes it's the simplest things.

Go get it checked out at the dealer. My key fob would not work to lock, unlock the door or remote start the car, but it would open the trunk. I took it to the dealer to get it checked, the fob was dead. I had to buy another one for $89. It works fine now. No explanation as to why it stopped working, it just did.
