Just purchased 03 TB LTZ. Key fobs not working. Replaced batts. Reprogramed. Worked. Few hours later not working again. Why is it loosing the program?

 

may be a bad remote keyless entry module...
its located in the tailgate of the trailblazer. any other things stop working when this happens?

Thanks rbarrios. Not that I can tell. The dealer is now going to give me new fobs. I dont think thats the problemas niether of them work whenit stops working.Its a bad something or other.

Any way to test the module?

i remember reading some post about that module going bad... and causing peculiar funny operation....
many times- the wiring between the vehicle body and the tailgate- would break (break inside the wiring) so it want visible.
this would happen from the opening/closing of the tailgate....

other times its an issue with the ground for the module- which I think also makes the reat licence plate lights to go out....
