Default Lubrication requirements

Hi
For a 2005 Malibu, V6 engine.

Are there any lubrication requirements for the front or rear suspension or steering systems?
Also, does anybody know where I can purchase an oem oil filter online that is the same product I would purchase at a chevy dealer and be certain it is not a third party knockoff but save a little cash?

I am not sure about an 05 malibu but you should buy another OEM filter and see who makes it. I am a fan of using OEM parts. Though GM uses a lot of aftermarket products. They use a lot of ac delco parts and what not. PCV valves, oil filters... yada yada. So see what is on the filter if it's not in an actual ac delco box. Well, I doubt it will say it on the box. But the part number will be on it. Put that number in google search and I am sure you will find suppliers with the same number.
