Did you replace the fuse in the trunk? Malibu has three different areas where fuses are I was just wondering which one you replace? I've had the same issue with my Malibu it's kind of touch and go I replace one bulb another one goes out so I already know to replace them both at the same time but sounds like to me you have too much for us going to the fuse and it's popping it is there anything in there like a radio that has been added? Or any other extra wires? I would definitely go to the trunk and check the fuse that's how I repaired mine good luck
