Default radio reception in '99 Malibu

I have a '99 Malibu with horrible radio reception. It's not the radio because I had it replaced. I thought originally it was that the antenna wasn't hooked up, but after replacing the radio, the reception is still bad.

How can I fix this? Is there just a long wire between the radio and the antenna?

I had the same issue. Fortunately for me, I don't listen to the radio so I cannot say whether or not replacing the wire will help. It is one long wire. I didn't check to see which way it was routed though. I'm trying to remember if I've stumbled along it in the past doing repairs or wiring up my sound system. I would start in the trunk and follow it to the radio.

there is a connection in the passenger kick panel. start there, as they do come loose quite often. use some hockey tape(or electrical if you don' have hockey) to keep it together
If that connection is good, check the connection in the trunk

Default 2014 Silverado radio reception issues

Can somebody please inform me as to what I will need to do so I can enjoy driving my 2014 Silverado while listening to my radio?
I had my truck to the dealer and I was told that there isn't anything that can be done.
I am frustrated that I sold my 2012 z71! I never had this issue with any of my vehicles before. I am beginning to rethink of ever buying anymore Chevys.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciative.
