i have a 2005 malibu with rear drum breaks. i need to replace the brake shoes but upon inspection i noticed that the parking cable lever is atached to the break shoe with something that looks like a rivet and not your usual washer. if i pop the rivet out how will a reattach it to the new break shoe? this is the first time replacing the break shoes on the car and im stomped on this one. anyone done one yet and have a how to? cant find a chilton or a haynes anywhere locally.
