Default reduced engine power message keeps popping up

I have a 2014 Chevy Malibu and the reduced engine power message keeps popping up. I pull over and shut the car off wait 10 seconds and it's fine but will do it again. I noticed that when I drive the RPM gauge goes up and down and the car tries to lose power. Can anyone help??

You need to get a full diagnostic scan with a professional tool to see what is triggering the limp mode. There are many possible causes.

Hi, whenever I got the reduced engine power message, for me it was because my oil was low. Once I added oil it cleared. I'm having to keep checking on my oil, think I may have an oil leak. Hope this helps.
