Hey, everyone,

I was wondering about getting an aftermarket remote start for my future wife's 2005 Malibu classic, since she is always talking about how jealous she is of her friend's remote start. I think it might be a dropped hint...

Anyways, back to business. Is it worth the money? Can it be done easily?

I'm probably looking to keep it in the sub $100 range, and I would be installing it myself. I'm pretty handy in a wrench and can follow directions, but am far from a professional.

Is it possible? Any and all opinions, information, and otherwise will be greatly appreciated. The more candid frank, the better.

you may be able to find a starter kit under $100. the added expense will be in buying or building the resistor pellet to bypass the theft deterrent system. Maybe a site that sells remote start kits would be more helpful. They can also provide wiring diagrams.
