Default Rough Idle

Hello

I just purchased a 2004 Malibu Maxx with 50,000 miles. Everything seems fine except it seems to idle rough. Not to the point where it will stall but it is noticeable. Before I start a common tune up (plugs, wires, etc) is there something specific with these models that cause this? I thought I read somewhere about a recall involving a computer reflash for this problem but the links were down and I never heard anything else. I just ordered a haynes manual so hopefully most work I could handle myself.

Thanks for any advice!

Does the car have a warranty? If so have them check it out. I know mine also idles a little rough but mine is GM certified so I am gonna take it back to the shop to get it fixed.

Yes I will probably have the dealer check first. I noticed its fine during a cold start and the car idles around 1500 rpm. Once its warmed up the idle drops to around 8-900 rpm and thats when it idles rough.
