My 2009 Malibu's front passenger door won't open. Feels like linkage is broke, How do you get door open to take door panel off or is it possible to take off with door closed?????

I believe so but not the 2 plastic pins at the back of the door, If I get the screws out I think I can get the panel off enough to get to the latch cable and possibly the latch, I hope. Don't know if the problem is at the handle or the latch but it sounds like it might be at the latch. Will get to it in the next couple of days but thought someone might have had this problem before and could give me some advice. Will post on my results.

Thought someone could help me with my door latch problem but evidently not. With a little skill and a little more luck I was able to get the door open and correct the problem.Wasn't to bad of a job!
