Ok guys. I have a 98 Malibu v6. I just got it back from having the heads resurfaced valves reseated seals n gaskets replaced due to running hot. Then it started just shutting down while driving but would crank back up. During this it developed a "ticking". I was told it was the lifter. So...i replaced the coils and electrical module and fuel filter to fix the shutting down issue. This morning i ran a 5 minute motor flush and the ticking stopped during it. I was excited. Changed the oil and oil filter, cranked it back up, ticking was back. Even after driving it. so...can y'all help a girl out and tell me what else I can do here? I am trying to avoid taking it apart again. Thanks in advance.
