hi i have 03 malibu and i think the air in it use to work, had it checked by a friend with a gadget that tells u if its low or something. it said it was low so i bought a can from wal mart to fill it up. im a single mom of 1 with another on the way, dont have alot of money so trying to do things on my own, used the conditioner todayand it was not freezing cold or even cold but, it was'nt even hot just warm/cool if that makes sense is there something i can do, can,t stand this heat. pls help and be very dumb specific for me, lol i'm not blonde just female doing things on her own cause it would probably cost a fortuane to have some one look at it.

 

Welcome to the forum. It sounds like the refrigerant ran low. Unfortunately the only way that can happen is if there's a leak. The thing is, I really think it A/C repairs should be left to the professionals with proper training and equipment. I've no idea why Wal-Mart carries those silly cans of refrigerant.
