I have a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu LTZ and the vents on the dash will stop blowing air out of them.
To get them back working again, I will disconnect the battery for a few minutes and then I will reconnect
the battery back up again and the air will start coming out of the vents again. What could be the reason
for this? I have done this 1 other time.

Where is this relay located, so I want get the wrong on and what is it called?

Sure. It should be located under the plastic cover in your engine bay relay/fuse-box, which is mounted on the drivers side of your Malibu. Once you get the cover off there should be a diagram showing you which relay it is.
