i have a 2000 monte ss on the highway cruising at about 70 75 the rpms are at about 32-3500 i dont feel or hear the torque converter lockup. what possible malfunctions could cause this.

 

you can hear the torque converter lock? bionic ears

hold the accelerator steady and very lightly tap the brake pedal watching your rpm, if it flares up for a second then it should be fine. other than that you'll need a scanner

 

no it doesnt flare up stays at the same rpms

 

ive also recently noticed it only shifting to 3 wont hit fourth even in the city

 

have you checkced the fluid

 

yes fluid level is good and the fluid looks good also not to dark. next week im going to change the tranny fluid and filter.
