I have a 2000 Chevy Monte Carlo LS that starts and then shuts itself off after 2-3 seconds. It did this once in a while about a month ago but after once or twice it would start and stay running. Then it went away and everything was ok. Now it won't stay running at all. Any ideas would be most helpful. BTW, the lights on the dash all seem to look good when this is happening. Thanks.

 

Sounds like it could be the pass lock security system .I had a similar problem with my Impala .I installed a bypass module and the whole system is eliminated for ever .It was a lot cheaper than the factory parts .check it out here http://newrockies.com?ap_id=scp8333
