Default 2002 Monte Carlo SS Tranny Issues

I bought a 2002 monte carlo ss with 156k miles. Needed power steering pump. Giy said it sat for a year. I drove it and it shifted fine...got it home changed power steering pump and went to drive it and tranny started acting up...also noticed that i have a broken motor mount and im wondering if maybe the engine is sitting on tranny lines and pinching them off...temperature is running over 1/2 way point could this be the issue...there are no leaks.

unfortunately it sounds like you need an overhaul. once they get to this point there isn't really anything you can add or do to it to extend its life - sorry for the bad news

Hello so those transmissions are notorious for sticking valves and solenoids . If theres crud in the pan your sunk . Since it drove home fine if theres no crud in the pan a rebuilt valve body recommend do the shift kit and new solenoids should have it cruzing in style in no time.
