i work in a shop with 30 mechanics and the guys that i trust tell me its a possibility that it can be the multifuntional switch that controls the signals

fyi: i had the same problem and after much probing it turns out it was the ABS. so i disconnected the unit and its bfine now

Can be the same thing with glove compartment lite , under hood lite , trunk lite ..........

Remove the bulbs , one at a time , to make it easier to figure out what is working & what is not .

God bless
