Default Door lock - Lumina 1998

Hey everybody,
I just bought 1998 Lumina, joined the forum and have the first question.
My power door lock switch on driver's side probably does not work or I don't understand its function

- When I hit lock on driver's door switch, all doors get locked except the driver.
- When I hit unlock on driver's door switch, nothing happens.
- When I go to passanger's door and hit un/lock, both positions work correctly on all doors except for the driver. It just doesn't do anything on the driver's side.

I tried to swap the switches but nothing changed. So is it because of safety reasons that driver's door has to be un/locked with a key only or is there sth. wrong with my door electronics?

Thanks a lot to everyone.

I'm driving a '98 Lumina with the police package, and that's not how it works in mine. Hitting un/lock on either the driver or passenger side switch un/locks all of the doors.

My guess is that something's shorted out on the driver's side.
