Default Help with Stereo in 1992 Z34 Lumina

Hi there,

I recently purchased a 1992 Z34 Lumina, I decided all I wanted to do to the car is add a new deck. I purchased a Sony deck along with the mount and wire harness. I crimped the wires together properly and set everything up according to the book. When I plug it in I get a whining noise from one of my speakers and that's it. After taking the harness off and plugging in the stock radio it worked fine. We then tried my harness and deck in my friend's 1999 S10. It worked no problem. We plugged his deck into my car, still same problem. The stock radio works, and it wasent the wire harness or anything because it all worked in his truck.

Help?
