1989 silverado with 1967 283
welcome...
i am michael and i live in preston idaho... i drive a 1989 chevy silverado c1500, i used to own a nissan 300zx "non-turbo" 3.0 v6 sohc the fastest i had her going was 145
, but i traded it for my truck.. when i got the truck the kid told me the engine was going bad.. so he gave me a 1967 283 with 327 camel hump heads and a mild cam 4 barrol carb.. i went to the junk yard and bought what i WAS told was a 350 for $250, i found out later it was a 305. after i got the bad 350 out and the 305 put in my truck and my 283 in storage the tranny went bad i have 1st 2nd and R, "1989 700r4 with 204360 mile". any ways i was going up this hil and i guess some where in my driving she dumped ALL OF HER OIL...
i spun two barrings
... so i put my '67 283 in i have a 1972 chevy pick 350 carb i rebiult and put on it.. i am getting ready to put my TBI back on it... but its a good truck... OH and i forgot to say i cant figer out whats wrong with my 4x4 i replaced the TLV acuator vavle but still no go anyways thank you for reading about my truck
