1990 c1500 Exhaust
Okay first off, I'm very new to this forum so if I make any mistakes, please forgive me. I have a 1990 c1500 extended cab, 5.7 that my dad bough years ago and handed down to me.
Just this weekend, I completely changed everything on my exhaust. I cut where the cat meets the Y-pipe, and took everything off. I now have a Magnaflow Hi-flow catalytic converter, then and 18 inch pipe that leads to a Thrush Welded muffler (All 3 inch pipe). The muffler then has a 45° pipe that angles down towards the ground where the exhaust dumps out. This is right under the cab. It is RIDICULOUSLY loud in the cab, but fairly quiet outside. Quieter than my friends V6 Silverado with a stock cat and a Flowmaster 40 series. I want the exhaust to be louder. Would dumping the exhaust all the way in the back help volume at all? I don't mind the sound in the cab, but I want it to be louder on the outside. Again, sorry in advance for any mistakes!
-Thanks
