Default 2015 Suburban Towing Capacity

Hi everyone,

On the market for a new SUV with a 3rd row seat and a high towing capacity capable of towing a 31' trailer that has a gross weight of 8000lbs.

I can't believe GM discontinued their Suburban 2500s. It's really crazy.

So my question is this: can a 2015 Suburban pull an 8000lb trailer? The 2 wheel drive Suburban can pull 8,300 lbs, but this seems really close to me. I'd like to get an SUV that can tow at least 9,000 lbs.

What do you think?

Thank you,

-Mike

get the trailer sway control option. By the numbers 8000 is the upper limit with the 5.3 engine but isn't there a 6.2L engine option? power wise the 6.2 would have no problem

Sorry I posted this in the "new member" area. You can tell I'm new at this.

Well I'm off to the Chevy dealer this afternoon to rattle the cages. I'll let you know what I find out tech2. Thank you for the quick response!
