Tahoe & Suburban The power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.

Default Impressed with Towing Capacity

I'M impressed with the towing capacity and the fuel milage with my 07 Suburban LTZ.

I have read that a lot of guys around here were getting 5 MPG when towing. I only went on a 60 mile tow and I was getting 10.8 MPG.

I was towing a 23 ft boat. The boat was rated at 5800 LB dry and it had a full tank of gas and was on a tandem axle trailer. I think they said it was close to 8000 LB for the whole set up?

The auto ride really did make the suburban always level and ride nice.

I pulled some really steep hills with ease. I'M talking I never dropped below 65 MPH even pulling the hills, I'M impressed with Chevy.

Is that the 3/4 ton suburban? Is it the LTZ's that have the autoleveling system in them?

Yes, its the LTZ that has the auto ride in it. But its only the half ton model.
