After researching Malibu for a few months last year, I traded in my '03 Saturn (180,000 mi) for an '08 Malibu. Loved the styling and the roomy interior. Two weeks ago took my first long distance road trip to WA state via Reno, SFO,and the Pacific Coast, returning to PHX via OR, ID, UT and Vegas (of course). Not only was the comfort level more than I expected, but my total average mpg was 31.4..this with a full trunk of my daughters college gear plus a cooler and two large suitcases. Other than spotty satellite /cel phone coverage in the mountains, absolutely no complaints.
It's a great vehicle, and draws a lot of comments.
