New Tahoe Owner
I've been a member of the forum for a few weeks now and figured it was about time I introduce myself.
I bought my first Chevy, a 2009 Tahoe LT2 in dark blue metallic, in August. I've always liked this platform and it was about time for a new truck. My previous ride was a 2004 4Runner but I really needed a size upgrade to make traveling with my dogs easier, not to mention the fact I've always liked this truck platform and if money was no object I would of gotten an Escalade. I do have to say this Tahoe is the nicest and most comfortable vehicle I've owned and I enjoy driving it every day.
Since this is a daily driver and I do almost 20k a year I keep the mods to a minimum and do mostly dress up/functional type things. So far I've got my Weathertech liners, removed the 3rd row for the dogs, installed the cargo shade for when the dogs aren't in the truck, installed a USASpec iPod adapter and also put in an Amsoil EA air filter. When it comes time to oil changes I'll be using Mobil 1 and NAPA Gold filters (or Delcos/K&N/M1/WIX if the NG aren't available).
I'm looking to upgrade the stock 17" wheels w/ Goodyears to some nice 20's with the Bridgestone Alenzas. I'm debating between the polished LTZ wheels or one of the other chrome options).
I've also purchased the chrome LTZ grille for it but it came damaged and I'm having a heck of a time getting a dealer to replace it for me. That's a story for another thread.
