Default 1996 Chevrolet Silverado k1500 5.7l crank no start

Getting spark and fuel but not starting
The truck is cranking and sounds strong but doesn't seem to want to start up.
I drove it to work the drove home and park then the next day nothing.
Battery has been fully charged just to be safe starter is new and turned the engine over.
No codes.
Used obd2 scanner and got nothing.
Tried a more advanced scanner Innova SDS 7111.
This year wasn't too advanced being the transitional year of obd2.
Can't use a lot of the features this device has to offer like actuator/active test. (At least my truck isn't letting me)
From the bit of research I've done seems like the ICM is notorious for going out and so is the distributor.
And this can cause and crank no start.
I disconnected the ICM and checked if it was getting 12 volts with multi meter red to pink wire and black to ground (either chassis or ground on battery) and it is.
Not sure how to tell if it's messed up.
I took it off and it looks fairly clean no corrosion nor burn marks but I lack the knowledge to know if the module is actually good or not.
Or if it could be a different sensor.
Camshaft or crankshaft position sensor.
Any advice will help a lot thank you.
