Default 1999 Chevy Express 1500 no fuel.

Help. Okay here's a summary of what I've already done. I have no fuel going through the injectors. Remove the fuel pump tested it and it was faulty. Against my better judgment I listen to a friend and got one out of a junkyard. I installed it and I was getting pressure up to the fuel rail but the engine still wouldn't start. Relay for fuel pump is good and I use the jumper wire from 87 to 30 to put direct current to it but still no start. I dropped the tank and noticed that when I unplug the harness from the fuel pump that my ecb1 fuse does not blow and if I pour gas down the manifold the motor starts. Once I plug the harness back into the fuel pump assembly and try to start it it blows the ecb1 fuse. I disconnected the 7-pin harness that goes to the fuel pump beforehand and check for signal wires and power and ground in all that should. I even went through all the ground going to the frame and motor clean them can reconnecting them. Can anybody tell me why the ecb1 fuse would blow when I hook the fuel pump back up every time? The fuel pump that I got from the junkyard after installing in the van and then removing it again I now put power to it and it does not work. before when the fuel pump did push fuel to the fuel line but did not go through the injectors and then I unplugged it from the fuel pump and changed out the ecb1 fuse the van did start off of whatever gas was in the fuel line. It's a 1999 Chevy Express conversion van with 5.7.
